Barvida requests an office at Mongla Port
Barvida members have been using Mongla Port since 2009, helping the port increase revenue through its car imports
The Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (Barvida) has requested an office from the Mongla Port Authorities, at the port, as well as port entry passes for its members.
Barvida, the top user of the second seaport of the country, had a meeting with chairman of Mongla Port Rear Admiral M Shahjahan on Sunday.
Thanking the chairman for all-out cooperation provided at the port, Barvida leaders emphasised the importance of improving the port's facilities and easing the port's services.
Barvida president Abdul Haque led the delegation. Vice presidents Mohd Saiful Islam Samrat and Md Jashim Uddin Mintu attended the meeting too.
High officials of Mongla port were present at the meeting.
Among others, Joint Treasurer of the association Md Saiful Alam, Cultural Secretary Benazir Ahmed and Executive Members Abu Hossain Bhuiyan Ranu, Syed Jaglul Hossain, Md Ziaul Islam, Ahsanur Rahman Arju, Md Mahbubur Rahman, and Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman were also present at the occasion.
