BTV to be aired in India
Modi has taken an initiative to develop mutual understanding with neighbouring countries through telecommunications
Bangladesh Television (BTV), the state-owned television channel of the country, is set to be telecast all over India.
Prakash Javeker, minister for central information and broadcasting in India, has confirmed it to the media.
He said that an agreement, to this end, has been signed between the two countries, reports Indian news agency ANI.

“Bangladesh has signed an agreement with India which will ensure that Dur Darshan India will be telecast in Bangladesh and BTV will be shown all over India,” the ANI quoted Minister Prakash Javeker as saying.
Prakash reiterated that the Modi government wanted to ensure cordial relationship with neighbouring Bangladesh.
Earlier, Bangladesh did not air any state-owned TV channel, while India never allowed any of Bangladesh’s TV channels (both state-owned and private) in its air.

India has also signed an agreement with South Korea to broadcast their state-owned channel, KBS, in India.
