The Ministry of Water Resources has set up a control room to monitor and collect information about floods across the country during the monsoon season.
The control room number, 01318 234 560, will be available from 9am to 8pm, reads an office order signed by Md Ehtasham Reza, senior assistant secretary of the ministry, on Tuesday.
"Our officials are working in coordination with the district administrations to tackle the flood. A control room has been set up for more intensive monitoring," State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Farooq said.
"Executive engineers are reporting on the flood situation all the time. Geo bags are ready for emergencies."
Water levels in Jadukata, Sumeswari, Kangsha, Dhanu, and Teesta rivers are flowing below the danger level now, according to the latest information.
