Facebook posts claiming SSF DG sheltered crime accused fabricated: CA Press Wing
Facebook posts claiming that Special Security Force (SSF) Director General Mahbubus Samad Chowdhury sheltered crime accused Ali Hussain Shishir in his apartment are fabricated, said the Chief Adviser's Press Wing today (18 January).
According to a post on their official Facebook page - CA's Press Wing Facts, a statement from an SSF spokesperson said Shishir rented the DG's flat by introducing himself as a garment factory owner from Narsingdi.
A valid tenancy contract with him was signed on legal stamps, the press wing quoted the spokesperson as saying.
"The question of sheltering a crime accused in his home does not arise. When police came to arrest him around 3:45 am on 18 January, the DG asked them to take him away and take necessary action as per the law," said the spokesperson.
The posts are "totally fabricated and twisted. It is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the DG, SSF, and the Bangladesh Army without any inquiry. This is an irresponsible act," the spokesperson added.
