25 films receive record Tk8.59cr govt grant amid pandemic

The government has provided a record grant worth Tk8.59 crore from the budget of FY2019-20 to 16 full-length and nine short film projects.
Among the films, three are on the Liberation War, two are children's film, a press release from the Ministry of Information said.

Besides, Giasuddin Selim's "Kajol Rekha", SA Haque Alik's "Joddha", Mostafijur Rahman Manik's "Ashirbad" and Badrul Anam Soud's "Shyama Kabya" have also been enlisted for the grant.
