‘ACI Deepto Krishi Awards 2020’ to recognise agronomists

Deepto TV will organise "ACI Deepto Krishi Awards 2020" to acknowledge farmers, who contributed to the country's agricultural advancement, on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence.
The award will be given in ten categories: best fisherman, best vegetable farmer, best poultry farm, best cattle farm, best agricultural entrepreneur, best orchard, best agricultural inventor, best social/cooperative farmer, best crop grower, and the best person or organization contributing to agricultural education.
The programme will be aired live on 2 April at 4 pm on Deepto TV, says a press release.
In a press conference at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on Sunday (28 March), Deepto TV CEO Fuad Chowdhury and ACI Agro Business Managing Director and CEO FH Ansari, along with the gala anchor and actor Ferdous Ahmed, announced the details of the event.
The award ceremony, hosted by actor Ferdous Ahmed and Purnima, will showcase star-studded performances by actress Mahiya Mahi, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Nadiya, Chandni, Sinthiya, and Barish Haque. Folk singer Momtaz Begum will also sing at the event.
