BFDC reveals primary list of actors for Bangabandhu biopic
Tauquir Ahmed will be seen as Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy on silver screen.
Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) revealed the primary list of actors for the much anticipated biopic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman yesterday. BFDC published a primary list featuring names of 50 actors who will portray various characters in the film.
According to BFDC, Arifin Shuvoo will play the lead role of Bangabandhu. The cast of the film also includes both eminent and emerging actors in various roles. Nusrat Faria will be seen playing the younger Sheikh Hasina while Jannatul Sumaiya will play the role of adult Sheikh Hasina.
Veteran actor, Raisul Islam Asad will play Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani. The roles of iconic politicians in the history of Bangladesh – Syed Nazrul Islam and A K Fazlul Huq will be played by Dewan Mohammad Saiful Islam Sayem Samad and Shahidul Alam Sachchu respectively.

On the other hand, popular actor and director Tauquir Ahmed will be seen as Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy on silver screen.
Khondokar Hafiz will play General Osmani. Misha Sawdagor – known for playing negative characters in Bangladeshi films, will bring life to General Ayub Khan.
Emmy award-winning screenwriter, playwright, and novelist, Stephen Davis is set to write the screenplay of the film which will be directed by acclaimed Indian director Shyam Benegal.
The film set is being constructed at the Jahir Raihan Color Lab at BFDC, shooting of the film will take place at Kabirpur film city as well and is expected to begin by November.
