Glenn Close to star alongside Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage in 'Brothers'
Glenn Close will be seen in the indie film ‘Swan Song’ opposite Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, and Awkwafina
Glenn Close, an eight-time Oscar nominee, will star alongside Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage in Legendary Entertainment's upcoming comedy film 'Brothers'.
The film, which will be directed by Max Barbakow (renowned for his film 'Palm Springs'), is based on a story by Macon Blair and Etan Cohen, and though the plot is being kept under wraps, it is reasonable to assume that Brolin and Dinklage will be playing brothers of some sort. Both stars are producing the film alongside Mad Chance's Andrew Lazar.
Close's role is yet unknown, although we could envision her as the mother of Brolin and Dinklage's characters. Perhaps it would not be too dissimilar to her role as Ed Helms and Owen Wilson's mother in the 2017 comedy 'Father Figures', but here is hoping 'Brothers' is a step up from that forgettable film!
Close, who played the renowned Disney character Cruella De Vil in the 1996 film '101 Dalmatians', acted as an executive producer on 'Cruella'. She will be seen in the indie film 'Swan Song' opposite Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, and Awkwafina, and she will portray Norma Desmond in a remake of 'Sunset Boulevard' produced by Ryan Murphy.
As for Marvel Cinematic Universe, she starred as Nova Prime in 'Guardians of the Galaxy', while Dinklage starred as Eitri in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and Brolin starred as Thanos.
