‘No Dorai’ selected for Asia Pacific Screen Awards

Bangladesh's first surfing film "No Dorai" (English Title: Dare to Surf) produced by Star Cineplex has been selected for the 14th Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
This films is based on an extraordinary story inspired by true events surrounding a girl surfer and her struggle to continue her passion for surfing in Cox's Bazar. The film focuses on issues such as woman empowerment, forced marriage and breaking free from social norms. At the same time, the film showcases Cox's Bazar as an alternative surfing destination for international surfers.
The movie is mostly shot in Chittagong dialect, though there were uses of English in some parts of the movie. However, there are subtitles during the English conversations.
No Dorai was directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu.
