Shafin Ahmed chats and sings on Bengal Boys Studio Live
The ‘Miles’ singer-bassist appeared in a radio show of Radio Today 89.6 FM
Music legend Shafin Ahmed joined a studio live session with Nayeem Murtaza from the emerging band Bengal Boys Studio, at midnight on Friday.
The show aired on Radio Today 89.6 FM. The listeners got excited when "Phireiye Dao" was played as they know it; the legend would join the show shortly after.
Shafin chatted and sang on the show. The two- hour show featured hits from the band Miles and other songs as well.
When Shafin was asked how he stays so fit and young, he said, "Age is just a number and it is all about mental strength. Our thought process and lifestyle are determining factors to stay fit and healthy."
FM radio listeners could listen to the show through Radio Today app or just by simply tuning in to the station. The second episode of the show was also aired from Bengal Boys official page.
The Miles frontman and bassist also appreciated the FM radio stations for their support to promote young musicians.
Shafin Ahmed also talked about the music-making process of Miles. In between conversations, Shafin also sang a few songs. He played an acoustic version of "Jadu." The listeners were lucky enough to have experienced a very soothing version of "Prothom Premer Moto."
Throughout the show, the comments section flooded with song requests from Shafin Ahmed.
Towards the end, Nayeem Murtaza asked Shafin about the restrictions on doing cover songs.
"We want to make sure that nobody can misuse cover songs and become stars without giving proper credit or recognition to the senior bands or artistes," he said.
"We are only against commercial use of these songs and that is when the young artistes should take our permissions."
The show ended with a powerful performance by Bengal Boys of their song "Ore Batpar."
