Three brokerage houses receive DSE fix certification
Three brokerage houses—Benemoy Securities Limited, Be Rich Limited, and Sheltech Brokerage Limited—have received FIX certification from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) to help offer value-added services to their investors.
As part of the ongoing process of granting fix certification to brokerage houses, the DSE awarded the certification during an event on Thursday.
The ceremony, held at the DSE boardroom, was presided over by DSE Acting Managing Director Sattique Ahmed Shah.
Key attendees included DSE Chief Regulatory Officer Khairul Bashar Abu Taher Mohammad, Acting Chief Operating Officer Samiul Islam, Acting Chief Technology Officer Tariqul Islam, and senior officials from the ICT and Market Development Division.
Notably, the DSE initiated the implementation of an API-based Broker House Order Management System (BHOMS) in 2020. In response, 60 brokerage houses applied to integrate their order management systems (OMS) with the Nasdaq Matching Engine via API connections.
To date, fix certification has been granted to 19 brokerage houses, including the three certified on Thursday. Of these, 12 brokerage houses have already launched their OMS platforms using API connections after receiving certification.
