Mymensingh UP member suspended
Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner recommended the LGD to take disciplinary action against him
The Local Government Division (LGD) has temporarily suspended a member of a union parishad (UP) in Mymensingh for allegedly using bamboo instead of rods in the construction of a U-drain on the canal.
The LGD today issued a notification suspending Mohammad Ali, member of ward no 8 of Asim Patuli union under Fulbariaupazila.
The circular said, "Under the Local Governance Support Project-3, Mohammad Ali was accused of using bamboo instead of rods in the construction of the U-Drain in the local Khapsar canal in the FY 2018-19."

The Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner recommended that the LGD to take disciplinary action against the member after the allegations were proven in the local level investigation.
