Preparations for drafting the July declaration is ongoing, he says
The electoral reform commission will submit its report by this month and the date for the upcoming election will be announced after discussions with political parties, Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan said today (6 January).
Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the "July Commemoration Corridor" at the Munshiganj Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Building this evening, the adviser said preparations for drafting the July declaration was ongoing.
Adilur, who also serves as housing and public works adviser, emphasised the government's commitment to environmental protection during industrial development.
He also highlighted the ongoing relocation of chemical factories from Dhaka to the Bangladesh Industrial City (BIC) chemical park in Munshiganj.
The adviser acknowledged the sacrifices of the July Martyrs and reiterated the government's commitment to honouring their memory and supporting their families.
The commemorative corridor connects the District and Sessions Judge Court Building and the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Building.
The event was attended by Senior District and Sessions Judge Kazi Abdul Hannan, Chief Judicial Magistrate Gazi Delwar Hossain, Deputy Commissioner Fatema Tul Jannat, Superintendent of Police Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar, and Public Prosecutor Advocate Halim Hossain, along with family members of the July martyrs.
