In her resignation letter addressed to the British Prime Minister, Finance Minister Tulip Siddiq expressed her gratitude for the trust the Prime Minister had shown in her in recent weeks. She acknowledged that, at her own request, Sir Laurie Magnus, the Adviser on Ministerial Standards, worked swiftly and thoroughly to review the matter. During this time, she provided full details regarding her current and past financial status and living arrangements. Tulip stated, "Sir Laurie, in his review, confirmed that I have not breached the Ministerial Code. There is no evidence to suggest that the properties I own or have used, nor my assets, have originated from any illegitimate sources."
