University of Dhaka Accounting Forum holds UDAF say hi programme

University of Dhaka Accounting Forum (UDAF) is a club of the prestigious Department of Accounting and Information Systems of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka.

UDAF seeks to establish a cohesive and engaged community, amplifying the achievements and opportunities of its members while strengthening connections with the broader academic and professional ecosystem. Focusing on its prime objective, the club organises one of their signature events, "UDAF Says Hi," to welcome the new students of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, University of Dhaka. This programme fosters a sense of unity and belongingness among the department members.

Continuing its legacy, this year's programme was arranged to greet the 30th batch of the Department of A and IS on January 19, 2025, at TSC Auditorium, University of Dhaka. The theme of this fresher's reception event was "UDAF Cafe," symbolising a vibrant relationship among the department's students, teachers, and alumni. 

The title sponsor for "UDAF Says Hi" was "Bangladesh Finance Limited," which offers a wide range of financial services and aims to be a key partner in Bangladesh's economic growth. And the co-sponsor, "Sajan Group," is the first and only manufacturer of NSF-certified pipes and fittings. Their dedication to delivering top-tier, quality-assured products perfectly reflects the values of trust and excellence. UDAF is delighted to have Bangladesh Finance as the title sponsor and Sajan Group as a co-sponsor. Their invaluable support made this event possible.

As a guest, Md. Kyser Hamid, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Finance Limited, and Mohammad Mostafa, the Managing Director of Sajan Group, were at the program. Also, the honourable faculty members of the department, Prof. Md. Maksudur Rahman Sarker, Chairman of the Department of Accounting & Information Systems; Prof. Dr Dhiman Kumar Chowdhury; Prof. Amirus Salat; Prof. Sadia Afroze; Assoc. Prof. Ishter Mahal; Assoc. Prof. Al-Amin. Assist. Prof. Shah Alam, Assist. Prof. Md. Ahasan Uddin, Assist. Prof. Md. Mahadi Hasan, Honorable Prof. Md. Abdul Hakim; Asia Khatun and Raihan Sobhan encouraged the students with their valuable presence.

After conducting an interactive formal segment, the program featured various cultural performances with invaluable speeches from honourable guests and faculty members. The artistic segment was inaugurated with the launch of an excellent theme song for the Department of Accounting and Information Systems. The theme song is written by Debopriyo Bhattacharya, Ayshee Reberio, and Nandito Banik and composed by Benjamin Tripura, Nandito Banik, Safrat Ali, and Ahon Ahmed. An exceptional performance, including recitation and song, was dedicated to reminisce about the "July Revolution". Then sequentially spectacular performances with song, dance, drama, and ramp show added the vibrance and created a joyful atmosphere at the auditorium.

At this event, students of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems got the chance to explore entertainment outside of the monotonous academic life. "UDAF Says Hi fosters meaningful connections among students, including senior batches, teachers, and alumni. It was truly a memorable event filled with laughter, joy, and new friendships.
