Two listed PRAN-RFL firms post revenue, profit growth in H1
Two listed companies of PRAN-RFL Group achieved growth in both revenue and profit during the July-December period of FY25.
The companies are Agricultural Marketing Company Limited and Rangpur Foundry Limited. Rangpur Foundry specialises in producing cast iron products, including tube-wells and irrigation pumps, while Agricultural Marketing Company is engaged in the trading and processing of fruits, vegetables, and other agro-based products.
Agricultural Marketing Company
Agricultural Marketing Company reported a 14% growth in revenue, reaching Tk175 crore in the first half of the fiscal year, compared to the same period last year.
During the period, local sales rose by 6% to Tk151.75 crore, while exports surged by 127% to Tk23.43 crore. Additionally, net profit increased by 4.42% to Tk2.83 crore, with earnings per share standing at Tk3.54 by the end of December.
In the October-December quarter, revenue grew by over 16% to Tk90 crore. However, net profit declined by 2.17% to Tk1.35 crore compared to the previous year.
Today, the company's share price closed at Tk201 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange, down 1.71% from the previous session.
Rangpur Foundry
Rangpur Foundry reported a 2% revenue growth, reaching Tk81.56 crore in the first half of FY25. During the period, domestic sales rose by 2.31% to Tk80.31 crore, while exports declined by 22% to Tk1.25 crore.
Rangpur Foundry recorded a net profit of Tk2.18 crore in the same period, reflecting a slight increase compared to the previous year. By the end of December, its earnings per share stood at Tk2.19.
In the second quarter of FY25, the company posted revenue of Tk39.28 crore and a net profit of Tk1.01 crore.
It had paid a 23% cash dividend to its shareholders for the last fiscal year.
The company's share price closed 1.30% lower at Tk129.50 today.
