Mentioning that dengue has become a national problem, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology and Telecommunications Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Saturday said four members of his family were infected with the mosquito-borne disease.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak also expressed his gratitude to medical professionals for their great effort to deal with the dengue menace.
“Dengue has become our national problem,” Palak continued, “Nine doctors have died of dengue, but doctors and nurses are performing their duty without fear.”
“Four members in my family were infected with dengue; I saw their sufferings,” Palak noted.
“I am grateful to doctors and nurses, as they are making great efforts to deal with dengue,” Palak said.
Pointing out that the medical profession is a noble profession and that it is a thankless profession as well, the state minister urged all to work for people forgetting about all criticisms.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak was addressing the closing ceremony of a digital service design and planning lab workshop in the capital.
