New drug enters Bangladesh from neighboring countries

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted a raid at Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah based on a tip off and seized 14 bottles of Indian Dialex DC syrup from there.
Dialex DC syrup is a new type of drug item, said the Department of Narcotics Control, Jhenaidah.
It acts as an alternative to phensidyl as it contains similar ingredients.

Due to the BGB's crackdown on phencyclidine, drug traffickers are importing Dialex DC syrup from neighboring countries as an alternative, which is unfamiliar to the general public but is known to drug traffickers.
