Later, he was declared dead after being taken to the district's Sadar Hospital."
A foreign-made pistol, four rounds of ammunition and a knife were recovered from the spot, said the RAB official.
Earlier on July 17, Amir Hossain, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station, along with his colleague Mani Shankar went to arrest Mamun Mia, son of Musa Mia of Chandpur village in Machhihata Union.
