Belarus citizen dies in home quarantine at Rooppur Power Plant
A case of unnatural death has been filed with the police station
A Belarus citizen died in home quarantine at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant's residential part Green City on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased named Yusuf Timur, 42, came to join the project on July 16 from Russia and went into home quarantine in room no 208.
People staying in the room beside Yusuf's room had not got any response from him for several hours. Then they went to Yusuf's room at around 5:00pm and found him lying senseless.
They informed the officials of the project about the matter instantly, Ruhul Kuddus, site in-charge of Rooppur project, told The Business Standard. Later, police recovered the body.
"The physicians of Atomstroy-export, the main contractor of the Rooppur project, primarily informed that Yusuf had died of cardiac arrest while he was sleeping," said Ruhul.
Sheikh Nasir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police Station, said, "The body has been sent to Pabna General Hospital for autopsy. The cause of the death will be ascertained after the autopsy."
