Clash kills 3 at Jashore juvenile correction centre
Three teenagers were killed in a clash at a juvenile correction centre in Jashore on Thursday evening.
The deceased are - Naim Hosen, 17, and Rasel Hosen, 18, hailing from Bogura and Parvej Hasan Rabbi, 18, from Khulna.
Jashore's Additional Superintendent of Police Touhidul Islam confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
Jashore District Special Branch (DSB) Inspector M Mashiur Rahman said that they still didn't know the reason behind the clash.
Trainer of the juvenile correction centre Mushfiq said that a couple of teenagers got injured during a fight between two groups a few days ago. The clash on Thursday evening was linked to the previous one.
The trio were critically injured in the clash and were declared dead when they were taken to the hospital, he added.
"The teenagers had bruises on their bodies," Amiyo Das, a doctor at the hospital said.
Jashore's Deputy Commissioner Tamijul Islam Khan and Superintendent of Police Ashraf Hossain visited the centre after the incident.
