Mujib Corner launched at Southeast University
The initiative was taken to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu
Southeast University (SEU) launched a "Mujib Corner" at the permanent campus of the university in the Tejgaon area of the capital on Saturday, according to a press release.
SEU took the initiative to mark the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and observance of his 45th Death Anniversary.
Chairman of the board of trustees Md Rezaul Karim inaugurated the corner while Vice Chancellor of SEU Prof Dr AFM Mafizul Islam chaired the programme.
Mujib Corner at SEU is rich in books, pictures, documents and videos created on the life, work and ideals of Bangabandhu, it adds.
Faculty members, officials and students can learn about the life, struggle and ideals of the Father of the Nation.
Top officials of the university and others were present at the event. The corner was designed by Ms Latifa Sultana, Lecturer, Department of Architecture of the university, reads the statement.
