Professor Tahmina Shirin made IEDCR Director
Professor Dr Tahmina Shirin has been appointed as the Director of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR).
She previously worked as the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of the Virology Department of IEDCR.
"The appointment will be effective from August 20," says a circular from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued today.
Professor Dr Tahmina Shirin completed her MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College. She then did MPhil and Ph.D. She is working in IEDCR since 2013.
Earlier on August 13, the present Director of IEDCR Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora was appointed as the Additional Director General (Planning and Development) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
