Sonica's dream of becoming a DJ
Sonica started her DJ career around 2007. She started off at an early age by assisting DJ Rahat in his events. Her cheerful attitude and playing grabbed the attention of the organisers, who then started to offer her shows at the age of 18.
The young girl faced a lot of social barriers as well. She was often harassed for coming home late at night, but Sonica was determined to make a name for herself.
13 years later, Sonica has done more than a thousand stage shows, four music videos and received the award for "Best Bangladeshi Female DJ" in the Dhallywood Film and Music Awards in 2013
The dancing fountain and Radisson event with Bally Sagoo
Sonica's most memorable event includes the inauguration of the Hatirjheel Dancing Fountain. She composed the music for the show, which was enjoyed by the Prime Minister.
Apart from that event, Sonica's most cherished memory includes playing with Bally Sagoo at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in 2012.

DJ Sonica has tons of fans who are crazy for her, but there was a time when her fans just wouldn't let her go.
In a program outside Dhaka, her fans broke the bamboo barrier to catch a glimpse of her.
After the show was over, Sonica had to wait on the stage for an hour as the crowd was going crazy to see her once. Later, she had to be moved from the stage with police protection.
Sonica, who is known for her energetic performances, once jumped so high during her show that she fell directly on the ground.
