AIBL approves 13% cash dividend for 2019
The bank achieved growth of 11.66 percent in deposit, 10.16 percent in investment during the year 2019 compared to 2018
The board of directors of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd (AIBL) approved a 13% cash dividend for its shareholders for the year 2019.
The decision came from the 25th annual general meeting (AGM) of the bank which was held on Thursday through a virtual platform, said a press statement.
Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting.
Among others, the bank's Vice Chairman Alhajj Md Abdus Salam, Board Members Alhajj Hafez Md Enayetullah, Alhajj Salim Rahman, Alhajj Md Liakat Ali Chowdhury, Md Amir Uddin PPM, Alhajj Abdul Malek Mollah, Alhajj Md Harun-Ar-Rashid Khan, Alhajj Md Anowar Hossain, Badiur Rahman, Alhajj Engr Kh Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Alhajj Ahamedul Hoque, and Alhajj Abu Naser Mohammad Yeahea, joined the meeting.
The bank's Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury also joined the AGM.
Senior Executive Vice President and Company Secretary Md Mahmudur Rahman proposed the agenda in the meeting.
According to the AGM, the bank registered a 11.66% growth in deposits and 10.16% in investment during the year 2019 compared to 2018.
Earnings Per Share (EPS) of the bank stood at Tk2.28 in 2019.
