Radwan Mujib to launch new magazine 'WhiteBoard' on Sunday
The unveiling of this chapter is a tribute to the Father of the Nation on his birth centenary
Centre for Research & Information (CRI) is set to launch WhiteBoard, a magazine objectively and comprehensively analyzing and narrating the policies in Bangladesh, on Sunday.
The first issue will be on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's policies that guided the nation's future course of advancement.
Radwan Mujib Siddiq, the editor-in-chief of the magazine and a grandson of Bangabandhu, will launch the magazine.
The unveiling of this chapter is a tribute to the Father of the Nation on his birth centenary and this magazine will be a lighthouse for the policymakers who will be able to model their policies on his vision, said CRI on Saturday.
A brief and interactive "smart web-launch," which promises to get away from tiresome regular webinars, graced by Radwan Mujib Siddiq, will be conducted at 6pm on Sunday as part of the launching ceremony. Members of an esteemed advisory board are said to be part of the launch as well.
Previously scheduled for March, the month of Bangabandhu's birth, the launching was deferred due to the Covid-19 pandemic that took a toll on the entire planet.
As revealed by CRI sources, the first issue will debunk the myths about Bangabandhu's administration that the created and disseminated following the assassination of Bangabandhu and his 16 family members in 1975.
The policies and methodologies of Bangabandhu, often lost under the weight of his other charismas such as fiery speeches and pro-liberation leadership, do deserve a chance to be heard by the modern policymakers, youths.
All the content developers of this magazine are endowed with a track record of possessing ample knowledge of the vision.
There are many developments the youths can see today but what they know not is that the seed of those developments was sown and nurtured by Bangabandhu and those futuristic policies will come alive through the pages of this magazine.
This initiative will complement other efforts of the CRI such as the launching of Mujib Graphic Novel, a graphic novel based on the life and vision of young Mujib, which is the first of its kind in Bangladesh in terms of comic-style narration on the life of a historical figure.
The future editions of WhiteBoard will delve into crucial matters of national policymaking from an angle that usual advocacy groups and donor agencies have left void in.
"We are launching WhiteBoard because we believe we will bring in new ideas into the policy-sphere of our country; the quality of our magazine should speak for itself," said Syed Mafiz Kamal, Co-Editor, WhiteBoard.
