‘Among Us’ sees increase in download as PUBG downloads drop
PUBG is now out of rank from Google Play’s rankings.
There's a new game in town and it has sent shockwaves to the industry, we find this trend in this month's SensorTower monthly report for mobile games.
The downloads indicate that InnerSloth's Among Us has made a massive splash. The game has seen a whopping 661% rise in downloads.
With PUBG seeing a sudden drop, it seems users prefer casual games. PUBG is now unranked in Google Play's rankings. And it's not due to PUBG getting banned in India.
The ban in India was imposed on September 2nd, and the list only covers the August month.
Among Us has been downloaded 18.4 million times this month, as reported by talkesport. So far, the popularity of the game is not deteriorating; on the contrary, it's expected to peak this month. Many speculate it'd reach the list's top 3 mobile games.
Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game, developed and published by American game studio InnerSloth and released on June 15, 2018. However, the recent surge in popularity can be largely credited to Twitch streamers.
