The 2 short films 'Madboy-Relaunched' and 'What is my crime?' will be released first on Amazon Prime to viewers in the USA and the UK. Other countries will be able to get access to the short films within few days after the initial release.
While Bannah acted in Touhid Ashraf's 'Madboy-Relaunched' one, he directed the other short-film 'What is my crime.' These two short films will be available with English subtitles on Amazon Prime from October 1.
Bannah had acted in all three installments of 'Mad Boy' and the young director did the whole acting part as fun. Considered as the first vertical drama 'Mad Boy' is a favourite among the audience.
Apart from Bannah, other actors such as Monira Mithu, Tanjim Anik have acted in the 'Mad Boy' short film.
According to Bannah, "Mad Boy will have a message of fun and social awareness and family ties but there won't be any showcase of love in the short film."
Meanwhile, Bannah directed 'What is my crime' which was released on Youtube as a series last Eid will be shown as a short film on Amazon Prime.
So why did the short film air as a drama? Well! According to the young director, he believes viewers search by typing dramas on YouTube and so he released it as a drama and not a short film but to him this was not truly a drama in literal sense.
Bannah is eager to adapt the drama into a short film and the director said, "The drama 'What is my Crime' is not like that of drama. I will be changing the story and re-edit the story along with Fakhrul Riya to release as a short-film on Amazon."
"Not only is it limited to the popular OTT platforms in Bangladesh and India, but as a Bangladeshi director, my content will be available on various OTT platforms around the world," Bannah added.
Bannah has started his first venture into OTT with the popular streaming site Amazon Prime.
'Mad Boy – Relaunched' will be released on Big B Entertainment's YouTube channel on October 1 and will feature "What's My Crime?" A version of 'What is my Crime' is currently available on Lumino Pictures' YouTube channel.
