BFF election voting comes to a close
Four councillors did not turn up to vote. They are- councillor from Chattogram Abahani Tarafdar Ruhul Amin, general secretary of Faridpur District Sports Organisation Khandaker Nazmul Islam, a councillor from Sheikh Russell KC Maksudur Rahman and councillor from Sheikh Jamal DC Safwan Sobhan.
Balloting in the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) elections have come to an end. The voting started at 2 pm after the annual general meeting had taken place and continued till 6 pm. Out of the 139 councillors, 135 exercised their voting rights. It has been confirmed by chief election commissioner Mezbah Uddin. The results might be out within 7.30 pm.

Khondaker Nazmul Hossain has been jailed in a money laundering case while Tarafder Ruhul Amin is not in Bangladesh right now.
Kazi Salahuddin, the incumbent president of the BFF, is one of the candidates for the supreme post of the president this year too. He is being challenged for the hot seat by Shafiqul Islam Manik and Badal Roy. Badal Roy, despite deciding not to compete initially, is competing for the post of the president from Samonnoy Parishad.
47 candidates are competing for 21 posts in the election.
