Stocks open positive after a two-day fall
DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) increased 14.57 points or 0.29% to reach at 4,943 till 11:30am
Indices of the country's two main bourses witnessed positive trend in the first one and half hours of trading session on Wednesday after a two-day fall.
DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) increased 14.57 points or 0.29% to reach at 4,943 till 11:30am. However, turnover on the DSE trading floor fell by 26% to Tk320.37 crore during the session.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also gain 37 points to close at 14,122 in the corresponding period.
Moreover, The Shariah Index DSES rose by 5.29 points to settle at 1,115 and the blue-chip index DS30 decreased 0.34 points to settle at 1,678.
Out of the 347 issues traded during the same time frame, 219 company's share prices advanced, 73 declined, and 55 remained unchanged.
