EC to file case against MP Nixon: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda today said that the Election Commission (EC) will file a case against Faridpur-4 MP Mujibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury for allegedly violating the Upazila Parishad (Election Code of Conduct) Rule 2016.
"A three-member probe committee will be formed by tomorrow to look into the allegation," KM Nurul Huda said this Wednesday after a meeting with law enforcement agencies on elections in the Dhaka-5 and Dhaka-17 constituencies.
Earlier, the Cabinet Division sent a letter to EC requesting to take legal action against MP Nixon Chowdhury for misbehaving with deputy commissioner (DC) and local administration officials including the UNO.
