BTCL to provide free telephone, internet to Bir Shreshtha families
The policy got its approval at the 180th board meeting of the BTCL
Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has started to provide free telephone and internet services to the families of the country's Bir Shreshtha, who sacrificed their life for the independence of Bangladesh.
BTCL is proud to be able to serve the families of the national heroes, said a press release issued today.
The policy got its approval at the 180th board meeting of the BTCL.

According to the policy, families will be provided with a residential telephone or telephone and internet connection under the BTCL service area in compliance with the feasibility of the network.
Hasina Haque, the daughter of Bir Shreshtha Nur Mohammad, was the first to have got a free BTCL telephone and internet connection at her Sahapara residence in Jashore's Nilganj on October 1.
