Mahmudullah Covid-19 positive and will miss PSL games
According to the guidelines, a person travelling abroad needs to undergo Covid-19 screening. Mahmudullah underwent the test and the results turned out to be positive.
Bangladesh national cricket team T20 skipper Mahmudullah Riyad has tested positive for Covid-19 and therefore is set to miss the matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The all-rounder was scheduled to fly to Pakistan at 10 am on Sunday.

No official statement has yet been made by the Bangladesh Cricket Board on this matter yet.

Mahmudullah was roped in as a replacement for Moeen Ali by the Multan Sultans. But he won't be able to participate in the franchise-based T20 tournament.
The all-rounder was surprised to see the results. "I didn't have fever or any other symptoms other than a bit of cold. Nothing more than that. I got tested for a second time yesterday, and that also came out as positive. I am now taking rest in a separate room. I am a little worried about my wife and kids. I am seeking everyone's prayers for quick recovery and for my family's well-being," Mahmudullah told ESPNCricinfo.
"It is disappointing to miss the chance to play in the PSL. It is a competitive tournament. It was a good opportunity to play a couple of matches there. I am now looking forward to getting well soon and try to participate in our Bangabandhu T20 Cup," he added.
ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal will participate in the knockout stage of the PSL where he will play for the Lahore Qalandars. He was roped in as a replacement of Chris Lynn.
