Make wearing mask mandatory in mosques: Islamic Foundation
The Islamic Foundation has urged the authorities concerned to make wearing of masks mandatory for all the Muslim devotees at mosques, in the face of a dreaded second wave of coronavirus.
As per directives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the foundation issued specific guideline and requested the management committees, Imams, Khatibs of all mosques, along with their field level officials to take step in this regard.
In a press release issued on Monday afternoon, Islamic Foundation said it is necessary to ensure that all worshipers wear masks in the mosque.
It suggested conducting awareness campaign through loudspeaker of the mosques over wearing masks, in addition to displaying banners with cautionary words at the entrance.
At the same time, the worshippers must follow social distancing and the hygiene rules issued by the Health Services Division, added the release.
