Senior journalist Shaban Mahmood has been appointed as the press minister of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, India for two years.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday.
According to notification, he has been appointed on condition that he will relinquish his relationship with other organisations.

This appointment will be effective for a period of two years from the date of joining.
The order also states that the terms of this contractual appointment will be fixed in accordance with the approved contract.
Shaban Mahmood is the secretary general of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and the special correspondent of the Daily Bangladesh Pratidin.
