Aly Zaker taken to Liberation War Museum for last homage

Noted actor, freedom fighter and the forerunner of the progressive cultural movement, Aly Zaker's body was taken to the Liberation War Museum in the capital to pay last homage on Friday.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held today at Banani Graveyard Mosque after Asr prayers, said his son Iresh Zaker on a Facebook post.
His body was taken to the museum at around 11:30 am. He was given guard of honor there by the Dhaka district administration.
Aly Zaker's family members including his wife actress Sara Zaker, son Iresh Zaker and daughter Sriya Sharbojoya was present at the moment.
Prominent personalities of the country's art, culture and theater came to pay respect to the Ekushey Padak winning actor.
Aly Zaker, country's eminent actor, director and chairman of Asiatic 3sixty, has passed away at 6:40 am Friday while undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in the capital.
The actor, 76, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday as his health condition started to deteriorate, said family sources.
Aly Zaker had been battling cancer for the last 4 years. Besides, the talented cultural personality was also suffering from various old age complications.
President Mohammad Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed their deep condolences over the demise of this noted actor.
