Stocks climb amid surging turnover

Investors buying spree boosted the indices of the both stock exchanges in the first one and half hour trading session on Sunday.
In this session, DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose by 92.53 points or 1.77 percent to 5,310.
Turnover of the DSE jumped by 36 percent to Tk645.94crore during the session.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gain by 274 points to 15,264 till 11:30am.
Moreover, the Shariah-based DSES index gained 21.25 points to 1,224 and blue-chip index DS30 rose 32 points to 1,908.
Following the investors movement 234 companies share price rose, while 49 issues fell and 75 remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
