Former NIDCH director dies of Covid-19

Former director of the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH) Professor Dr AKM Shamsul Haque has died from Covid-19 at the age of 85..
The veteran pulmonologist breathed his last at 7.30am on Monday while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU).
Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) President Dr Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin and General Secretary Dr Md Ehteshamul Huq Choudhury mourned his death, read a press statement issued by BMA.
Professor Shamsul was a student of Dhaka Medical College. He was survived by his wife, three children and a host of well wishers.
