Eastern Bank appoints two new DMDs
The new DMDs are MM Haikal Hashmi and M Khurshed Alam
Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL) has appointed MM Haikal Hashmi and M Khurshed Alam as its deputy managing directors (DMD).
Prior to his new appointment, Hashmi was the deputy managing director, head of internal control and compliance, and chief anti money laundering compliance officer at IFIC Bank Ltd.
He obtained his Masters degree in Banking and Finance from the Istituto Giordano Dell'amore in Italy. He started his career as a management trainee officer at IFIC Bank.

Meanwhile, before his new appointment, Khurshed Alam served the NRB Bank Limited as a deputy managing director.
He completed his MSS in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka.
