New Star Cineplex outlet unveiled at Mohakhali
The luxurious outlet will start screening films from October 20
The Star Cineplex on Saturday unveiled its newest outlet in Mohakhali area of the capital, while also observing 15th anniversary of the company. The third branch has three movie theatre halls and is located at the fourth floor of the SKS Tower.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by superstars such as Shakib Khan, Ferdous, Nirob, Simon, Tariq Anam Khan, Jannatul Peya, Bhabna, filmmakers Redoan Rony, Raihan Rafi, Animesh Aich and many others.
Former Housing and Public Works minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain was also present at the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Star Cineplex Chairman Mahboob Rahman Ruhel said the Mohakhali outlet will start screening films from October 20. This outlet features three luxurious categories of seating arrangements – regular, lounger and semi-recliner.
"The outlet will bring a new level of experience to the audience of Mohakhali and its adjacent areas. We have plans to build 20 multiplexes in several areas of Dhaka, including in Mirpur, Uttara and Purbachal," said Chairman Mahboob Rahman Ruhel.
He added that there are plans to build one hundred multiplexes across the country in the future.
The Star Cineplex started its journey at the Bashundhara Shopping Mall on October 8, 2004. A second outlet was unveiled at the Shimanto Square in January this year.
