Sanwara Islam Trust launches free ambulance service for covid patients in Ctg
The Sanwara Islam Trust has launched a free ambulance service in Chattogram on Tuesday, with view to taking the patients of Chandgaon, Bakalia and Mohra upazilas to hospitals on an emergency basis.
Former Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam inaugurated the service through a programme.
On the occassin, Mujibur Rahman, a member of the Sanwara Islam Board of Trustees and managing director of the Sanwara Group, said many patients cannot reach the hospital on time due to lack of ambulance or transport.
"This delays the patients from getting timely services. Therefore, my father has taken this initiative to reach the sick, elderly, maternity, impaired and covid-19 infected patients in the area on an emergency basis," he added.
