Netflix to turn 'Tomb Raider' and ‘Skull Island' into anime
The “Tomb Raider” anime will focus on Lara Croft and her latest globetrotting adventure
Netflix and Legendary Television are geared up to produce animations of Skull Island and Tomb Raider.
Legendary's "Skull Island" and Square Enix's "Tomb Raider" will be adapted into Japanese style animation, reports Collider.
The "Tomb Raider" anime will focus on Lara Croft and her latest globetrotting adventure. Netflix has kept the details of the plot under wraps. Tasha Huo will write the script while Dmitri M Johnson of dj2 Entertainment will act as executive producer.
Meanwhile, Skull Island will be an animated adventure series that follows shipwrecked characters desperate to escape the most dangerous place on earth - a mysterious island home to prehistoric monsters, including the greatest titan of them all, Kong.
In November 2018, Netflix and Legendary Entertainment announced that they are going to produce an anime on "Pacific Rim: The Black," based on the Legendary Pictures production and Guillermo del Toro-directed 2013 film "Pacific Rim."
