CIU holds first classes for HSC graduates
Students started classes via CIU's Course Management and Operation System online learning platform
Classes of the spring semester for HSC graduates recently started at Chittagong Independent University (CIU).
The new students started the first class of the university through CIU's Course Management and Operation System online learning platform on Sunday.
Earlier on Saturday, CIU's Central Information Technology Services (CITS) and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) jointly organised a day-long workshop for the admitted students.
The workshop provided students with a basic understanding of the learning process on the Course Management and Operation System platform.
CITS Director Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury conducted the workshop under the chairmanship of CETL director Dr Mosleh Uddin Chowdhury Khaled.
CIU Vice-Chancellor Dr Mahfuzul Haque Chowdhury greeted the students at the beginning of the workshop.
"If you want to be successful then you have to start working tirelessly to achieve that dream and have faith in yourself," he said in his speech.
The workshop was attended by: Dean of the Business School Dr Naeem Abdullah, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering Dr Asif Iqbal, Acting Registrar Anjuman Banu, and several others.
From the Business School, Assistant Professor Rahat Bari Tuhin and Lecturer Saeed Hasan also joined the workshop.
