Mujibur nominated AL industries and commerce sub-committee member
Industrialist Mujibur Rahman, managing director of Sanowara Group and sports organiser, has been nominated as a member of the Awami League sub-committee on industries and commerce.
The sub-committee, headed by Chairman Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed and Member Secretary Md Siddiqur Rahman, was approved by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
Expressing gratitude to the premier and party president Sheikh Hasina for nominating him as a member of the sub-committee, Mujibur Rahman said that he is determined to fulfil any responsibility of the party.
"I wish to move forward with the mentality to serve people like my father, who has been my inspiration behind politics," he added.
Chattogram Industrialist Mujibur Rahman, born in 1966, is the eldest son of former Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc.
He joined politics during his school days in 1984 and took over the helm Unilac Sanowara (BD) Limited in 1991. Mujibur Rahman has been governing many educational institutions in his area and has also built a stadium in Chattogram to promote sports.
