'Mural 71' unveiled in Chattogram
The mural, celebrating the history of the Liberation War, was unveiled on 26 March
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence, "Mural 71" was unveiled on M M Ali Road in Chattogram.
The initiative of the mural, celebrating the glorious history of the Liberation War, was undertaken by Ranks FC Properties, a subsidiary of Rancon, the country's largest industrial group.
The 22'/5' mural is situated at the side of the main road adjacent to the company's Memory 71 project.

The mural was unveiled by Chattogram City Corporation's Panel Mayor Gias Uddin and was made open to the public on Friday afternoon.
The mural, planned by Engineer Tanvir Shahriar Rimon, was designed by Inspace Architect Rahat Islam and built by Artist Fazle Rabbi.
On one side, the mural has the historic image of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from his speech on 7 March, 1971 where his index finger is raised, and on the other side, the glorious victory procession of the Liberation War is highlighted.
About the mural, Ranks FC MD Fahim Faruk Chowdhury said, "Bangladesh has become the Emerging Tiger of Asia from a bottomless basket within 50 years of independence. We are proud to build this mural out of our social responsibility in memory of the best children in the country who have given us Bangladesh."
CMP South Deputy Commissioner Bijoy Basak, Ranks FC CEO Tanvir Shahriar Rimon, Chattogram Field Hospital founder Dr Bidyut Barua, Chattogram District Sports Association Cricket Secretary Abdul Hannan Akbar, and other dignitaries were present during the occasion.
