Two leaders of Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad of Rajshahi and Sylhet remained untraced after being picked up reportedly by law enforcers.
It has been alleged that already 48 hours have passed since Nazmus Sakib, joint convener of the Central Committee of the parishad and Sylhet divisional coordinator, was picked up and Mazharul Islam, general secretary of Rajshahi University branch, is out of trace for 37 hours.
Faruk Hasan, joint convener of the organisation, said that "We have clearly seen in a video that Mazharul Islam has been arrested by the police from Sylhet. Already three days have passed, but police are not admitting and they are even not producing them to court."
"Besides, a group of people arrested Nazmus Sakib addressing them as members of a law enforcement agency four days ago from his residence in Sylhet," he said.
Acting convener Mohammad Rashed Khan said, "The government forces cannot disappear the student leaders Mazhar and Nazmus Shakib in this way. They just have protested against the arrival of Modi - they have done nothing wrong."
"We urged the government to give them legal rights and, if necessary, take them to court," he added.
He also threatened the government of initiating tougher movement if law enforcers do not produce them before court.
