Bangladesh and India are set to play their first-ever day-night Test at the Eden Gardens on November 22 in the last match of the tour.
It is the legacy of the Eden Gardens that Test matches here kick off after the bells are rung, and in such a momentous occasion, it will be Sheikh Hasina who will be ringing the bell.
CAB are trying to make this historic occasion memorable as many prominent personalities have been invited to the first day of the match. Bangladeshi singer Runa Laila will charm the audience with her voice before the match and the other prominent personalities include Indian Chess legend Bishwanath Anand, Badminton World Champion P V Sandhu, six times World Champion Boxer Mary Kom, Tennis star Sania Mirza and Olympic Gold Medalist Abhinav Bindra. Reportedly, Sourav Ganguly is trying heart and soul to make legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar present on the epochal occasion. Also, the whole Bangladesh squad of the Tigers' inaugural Test match in 2000 has been invited.
Along with all these, HIV positive kids will be let to play during the 40 minutes of Supper break. Also, the CAB are planning for something more breathtaking to mark this historic occasion.
