Besides, Banks will remain open from 10am to 1pm to facilitate financial transactions. However, the bank authorities are allowed to conduct internal official activities until 2:30pm.
General people would not be allowed to move unnecessarily without movement pass.
People are collecting movement passes in full swing as some 2.5 lakh passes were issued till 7pm Thursday since the app was launched a day ago.
The movement pass launched by Bangladesh police is the only way to go out in case of any emergency during the seven-day strict lockdown.
People without movement passes will be halted by police in checkposts and will be sent back.
On the first day of the weeklong strict lockdown on Wednesday, the capital witnessed deserted thoroughfares, check posts at different spots, fines for breaching lockdown rules, hike in essentials' prices, and "half-open" stores.
As previously announced, police ramped up their activities from early morning on the day, with check posts set up at important intersections, along with the exit and entry points of the city to control peoples' movement.
Covid-19 cases in the country have been surging sharply from the second week of March.
Amid worsening situation, the government announced a set of restrictions to be imposed during the nationwide lockdown for 14-21 April.
Bangladesh on Wednesday reported its single-day highest 96 deaths from Covid-19 in last 24 hours, bringing the country's total deaths in the pandemic to 9,987.
