A protest rally of eight left-leaning student organisations was held in the capital to protest against the killing of workers in Chattogram's Banshkhali.
The left-leaning student organisations also called for the acceptance of the demands of the workers in front of the Anti Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture at 5 pm on Saturday, reads a press release.
Workers clashed with police at an under-construction power plant operated by the S Alam Group and China-based SEPCO3 in Banshkhali, Chattogram, killing at least five people and injuring dozens more on Saturday.
Masud Rana, president of the Socialist Students Front presided over the rally while leaders from the other left-leaning student organisations spoke on the occasion.
