Having Shakib Bhai and Mustafiz will help us do better against Sri Lanka: Saifuddin
The 24-year old remarked that the team is in much better shape now and confident of winning the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka.
Fast bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin said that the pacers need to take the challenge of picking up wickets inside the first ten overs and put the opposition on the back foot. The 24-year old remarked that the team is in much better shape now and confident of winning the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka.
While speaking to the media on Friday, Saifuddin said, "The first ten overs really sets the tone. Our bowlers need to take the challenge of being economical and at the same time pick up early wickets. We'll try our best to take more responsibility since the condition is familiar."
"We couldn't live up to the expectations in New Zealand and ended up being whitewashed. It was really disappointing. But as the upcoming assignment is a home series, we will try to get back to winning ways. We are sweating it out despite we are fasting. It will be challenging for us as we just lost the Test series against the same opposition. As there are points up for the grabs, we will try our best to achieve them," the all-rounder added.
Saifuddin believes that the inclusion of some important players has strengthened the side. "I've played so much international and domestic cricket in Mirpur and if given a chance, I'll put in my best effort. The inclusion of Shakib (Al Hasan) Bhai and Mustafiz (Mustafizur Rahman) will do a whole lot of good to the team's balance. Taskin (Ahmed) Bhai is in good shape as well. I think we are in a great position as a team," he mentioned.
